Earth Day isn't really that special to me.
And i got my license that day which means 1 more person driving which means not healthy for the environment. soooo yea. clearly, i dont care too much for that.
i still am considerate and do my part in caring for the environment.
im just not a green freak...
um...so yea
in conclusion this "holiday" means nothing to me.
and im gonna go study for the chem test now. :D

Motivation
Quite honestly, lately the motivation for me has probably been my faith.
For a while now I've been trying to improve my study habits but once Lent started, it gave me a clear starting point to achieve my goals. After recieving my last report card, it wasn't awful but it wasn't something that I could say I was proud of. I know I can get better grades than the ones that I earned the last semester. I keep telling myself that, but this semester I actually want to prove it. I want to show myself that I can earn the grades that I know I could earn.
So after first semester, I went home and told my mom, I'm getting straight A's this semester.
She basically gave me this lecture about how that is a completely unrealistic goal for me considering my time management skills, and my study habits.
This just added to my motivation to prove to her and to me that I can earn the grades that I desire to get. So I suppose my motivation is intrisic because I'm working to achieve my goals for mainly my own self satisfaction and pride.

Science and Politics?
umm....broad topics are better? are they now, cause i can't seem to figure out what to write. I'm trying out this new thing where i do my homework ahead of time/on the day it's assigned...it's working out pretty well. and I'm also pretty excited for Lent. Ash Wednesday's coming up so...it gives me a chance to officially start working on my bad habits. Anywayys...I went to see the V-show which was just overflowing with variety. sarcasm... They should call it something like...Theatre, choir, and selective band kids that try out and make it Show. but that's just me. It was good this year though, i guess.
Well, I've been watching season uno of One tree hill since like 7...and it just turned 11. so ive only watched like three episodes so far. and cleaning-ish my room, and finishing my math homework. ok right...so here goes.
SCIENCE
umm...i got an A on my chem quiz..does that count?
It was Darwin's 200th birthday. Pretty cool...pretty old.
he was a pretty cool dude i guess
or do the Science and politics need to be related? too bad they're not gonna be.
POLITICS
umm...abe lincoln's 200th birthday. pretty cool...pretty old.
he was a pretty cool dude too.
but really though. stupidest thing ever. no wait...stupidest two things ever.
One - retarded woman who had eight children.
Two - apparently Obama passed some thing that if you buy regular soda rather than diet you need to pay extra tax for it. Ha...of course. he would.
i don't even think i need to explain the stupidity behind either of those things.
well, i'm done.
and, i'm out.

global warming crisis?
puh-lease....global warming crisis?
you've got to be kidding me.
the fact that that phrase was written in the intro "this is what you need to blog about" paragraph, makes me not want to be writing this at all.
first of all, it's a weather pattern
second of all, i thought it was global climate change
and last, ppl should just plain old be considerate of the environment regardless of whether global warming exists or not.
now i think i should share a little bit about my beliefs on this so called "global warming crisis"
i believe that global warming is just a scam that al gore made up just so he could make a little money. not like he doesn't have enough. and then he preaches to us about how we should go 'green' when he's goin around flyin in his jets and with his seven or something mansions.
anyways, i think there are other things we should consider instead of going straight to energy alternatives like nuclear power right away.
for example, 80% of the food that we produce is wasted and thrown away in landfills. and then takes a long time to decompose and all the while setting gases into the air that contribute to the earth's increasing temperature. we may send some of the extra food to africa but none the less, other countries do need to learn to be independent sooner or later and not dependent on other countries to provide them with food. maybe i sound selfish. but i guess that's just how it's coming out.
either ways, why can't people just plain be more considerate of the environment. stop wasting. start recycling. i guess that was just the lifestyle i grew up around but it's really sad that we need to go straight to the extremes like energy alternatives right away, when this whole "global warming crisis" isn't even something that's been proven to be real. Many scientists have many different opinions on it. we just choose to listen to the ones that tell us it's real.
we have to make such a big deal out of everything
ugh....it's getting really old.
w/e.
hoorah for school tomorrow :P
